London Labour Regional Conference - Saturday 24 July / Sunday 25 July
London Labour Regional Conference - Saturday 24 July / Sunday 25 July

Last weekend, London Labour held our 2021 Regional Conference.

Although we were unable to plan our conference in person like usual, we were delighted to be able to host a weekend full of online talks, motions and panel discussions.

We were joined by some fantastic speakers across the weekend – including: Sadiq Khan, the Labour Mayor of London; Angela Rayner, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party and Dawn Butler, Labour MP for Brent Central. Thank you to all of them for making the time to speak to our delegates and members.

Alongside our speakers, we were also joined by some brilliant panelists for two insightful and informative panels across the weekend: Racial Justice in London: Tackling Anti-black Racism and Islamophobia and How to Win in London 2022. Both of which offered some great insight into how the party can continue to make progress and fight for a more equal society.

Amongst panels and speakers, delegates also voted on a whole range of motions, with some great debate from across the party. Alongside the motions, delegates also voted for our new Regional Executive Committee. You can find the full results of the REC elections here.

Congratulations to all our newly elected members of our Regional Executive Committee, including our Chair Maggie Ferncombe and Vice Chairs Shama Tatler and Dean Gilligan.

And finally, thank you to all the delegates, speakers and panellists who came together to hold an online London Regional Conference.
