To: London CLP and Labour Group Secretaries, copied to Labour Group Leaders,

You may have seen that the Boundary Commission has published initial proposals into changes for Parliamentary seats. We would like to invite you for an initial discussion of the proposals – see below.

https://boundarycommissionforengland.independent.gov.uk/2023-review/london/

The meeting is at 5:30pm on Friday 18th June, and each CLP and Labour Group should send one representative please. There is no need to hold an election for this role – ideally it should be someone who has either worked on a boundary review before or has a strong sense of the geography and number of residents in each ward. Sitting Labour MPs will also be invited.

Please register your attendee using the form below – a Zoom link will be sent to them in advance of the meeting.

Please note this meeting will not take any decisions – its purpose is to brief stakeholders on the commission’s initial proposals, and discuss any amendments the party might suggest. There will be plenty of time later in the process for us participate in the formal statutory consultation. In the meantime, please could we remind all members not to comment publicly on the proposals.

Best Wishes,

Amy Fode
