Ruth Cadbury - Brentford and Isleworth


Ruth is Labour's candidate for Brentford and Isleworth in the 2015 general election.

Ruth has lived in Brentford for 30 years with her husband Nick. They have two sons who were both educated in local schools.

As one of Hounslow's leading Councillors, Ruth initiated the regeneration of Hounslow Town Centre and secured the London Living Wage for all staff and contractors.

In response to the Tory Welfare cuts, she initiated the Hounslow Foodbox to help residents with crisis food parcels.

Ruth's professional background is in Community Development and Town Planning. Ruth also chaired the London Councils Olympics group before and after London won the bid.

Ruth is a Trustee of one of Britain's leading social justice foundations, and as Chair she was named as one of the top 100 people in Britain to make people happy in the Independent on Sunday.
