Fighting for a fair deal for London women at work

More London women are working full and part-time. All now benefit from increased rights in the workplace – including better maternity rights.

In tough times, some employers may slash family friendly policies that help women to combine a career with a family.

Recent figures show women are being made redundant at a higher rate than men.

Mary Honeyball MEP (pictured) is working with the British government and colleagues in Europe to ensure action is taken to support British women at work in the economic downturn.

Mary says: “Women and families need a strong voice to ensure hard won rights are protected.”
